They fell in love in a city built by industry.
They're getting married in what's left of it.

What it was.
What it is now.
Built in 1912 as the Chicago Ironworks Company's primary fabrication plant, this building shaped the bones of a city. Steel beams that left these loading docks became the skeletons of buildings still standing today.
For forty years it sat silent. Brick darkened by a century of Chicago winters. The original timber floor — three inches of Douglas fir — still carries the marks of machinery long gone.
We found it on a Tuesday in November, standing in the cold, looking up at those steel trusses, and we both knew. This is where it happens.
